We All Feel the Same

It’s utterly astonishing how universal our feelings are. Even though we are all from different backgrounds and have been subject to different upbringings, I often think about how many constants there are when it comes to our emotions. I mean, no matter how much we may want to be different, or no matter how much someone can try to put up a wall and be insular, the fact remains that we are all so very similar in what we experience in this life.
It’s never too difficult to relate to anyone’s situation, whatever it may be. We all have weathered storms, we all have felt the joys and the pains that this life brings, and although we have felt them through experiences that may be different from someone else’s, the feelings were nevertheless the same. I mean, how often do we hear of someone talk about heartache or pain, and although we may not have gone through EXACTLY what they’re describing, we can think of something on par or comparable and in turn know exactly how that person may be feeling?
It’s crazy, I know that I may not have experienced the same degree of despair, or the same degree of ecstasy as some individuals, but I’ve damn sure carved a wide spectrum of emotional experience, and I honestly feel that I can relate something that has happened in my past to whatever anyone else may be going through.
We are all the same yet different, different yet the same. There’s no way around it.

WTF Makes Someone GAF About You?

What exactly is the mechanism that makes us determine what another individual is worth to us? And what precisely is it that causes us to take an interest in someone and then not so much another person who may be quite similar to them in many regards? I don’t think that anyone knows the answer to this or completely understands this conundrum. It’s just like, you either like someone or you don’t, it’s really that cut and dry. We also can like someone and then lose interest in just a *flash*, on the basis of something very minor, but nonetheless that minor factor kills the vibe and the resonance beyond repair.
It’s just crazy, it’s truly perplexing when you stop and think about it… how we can mean the world to one person, yet be a nobody in the eyes of another. What is the reason for this, this such nebulous matter? It’s all based on energy in my opinion, it’s all just dependent on resonance.
We sometimes search so long and hard for that person or those people to bring into our life who will understand us and the complexities of our personality on a higher level than others, but in reality, if we are really in tune with something, there’s no need to even search for anything or anyone. It will just come, and the vibe shouldn’t be that easy to kill or else it wasn’t even meant to be…

Man it really is quite a task to change. I need to improve myself in so many ways… I’ve been such an asshole for so long. Alternatively we can see two people on a rollercoaster- both screaming- one with delight and excitement, the other in terror. Some people go through adversity and become bitter, resentful and fearful. Someone else goes through adversity and comes out on the other end stronger and wiser.
How we perceive the world all boils down to our perceptual filters. We don’t see the world as it is; we see it as we are. Each of us looks at the world through a window but we don’t realize that it is a window of our own perceptions.
