Is it just me, or does the World Cup trophy look like it’s made out of crappy, fake gold foil (think Rolo wrappers) and engraved by a 9-year-old??? I thought it was supposed to be super prestigious? A second look at it and it almost has the appearance of a turkey leg dipped in Canal Street 10 karat gold cut with bronze. Mega fail!

Everything Is Art
04/26/2010
I love watching elite athletes because I view what they do as the physically competitive equivalent of a painter making delicate brush strokes or a famed writer framing an emotional experience with the perfect description… everything in life is art, you just gotta tune in to really see it in its entire scope and grandeur.
BEAUTIFUL.
Without a doubt the most entertaining and electrifying player of all time. So feared a defender was he that for most of his career, opposing quarterbacks wouldn’t even throw the ball to whatever side of the field he was on out of fear that he would adroitly intercept their passes. Now that’s gangsta.

Taurus-Gemini Cusp – May 16 – 26
This is the combination of signs that I fall under. I have come to realize that I truly do share characteristic traits of both signs. I have the potential to be all of these things listed, but I HAVE BEEN A FUCKING IDIOT for much of my time here on Earth. I’ve done some incredibly stupid things, but they have only helped me to increase my understanding. I’ll get it together though, I’ve got it in me. I’m in control of this.
At many points along the way I’ve even felt that my entire life was predestined. Not that I’m trying to deny myself of free will or anything, but I have just had the feeling that I’m just living out a script and going through the motions that my higher Self arranged for me before undertaking this particular lifetime/incarnation. I’ve learned so much though by coming up short so many times along the way. Maybe that’s the only way that we truly learn something and are able to take that knowledge into the next lifetime. Not to get all metaphysical or anything, but that’s just how I’ve felt at so many points in my life.

Man this woman really is tuned in. She expresses real life love situations in a way that I’ve never heard in a song form. I’ve been deeply in love with her for some time now. Too bad she’s long been married. Hey, I can still love her though, not in that way, but I can love her. Because I understand it.
Hands down my favorite pugilist, the greatest fighter to step into a boxing ring during my lifetime. He’s ranked #8 ALL TIME, ANY WEIGHT CLASS by boxing expert and historian Bert Sugar, ahead of any fighter who has stepped into a ring since I’ve been breathing. This man was an amazing 72-1 at one point in his career. He was by nature a brawler but could also adopt other fighting styles like out-fighting, in-fighting and counterpunching if beneficial or necessary during a matchup.
The man was a fighter’s fighter; he had an iron-chin, hands of stone and a vast and incredible fighting repertoire. To put it simply, he was just tough and seasoned as they come and hit HARD AS FUCK. He would also fight anyone and duck no one. Some people are just born to do something and exemplify an art or a craft, and Roberto Duran was born to fight. He was one hard motherfucker, the hardest since I’ve been alive. He just doesn’t get as much recognition here in the United States because he was Panamanian born and raised.
Sugar Ray Leonard’s commentary on his first fight with Duran, dubbed “The Brawl in Montreal” by promoters:
“I looked at Duran and I said man, you know (shakes head)… YOU ARE THE BEST.”
Man if that ain’t props, I don’t know what the fuck is. Sugar Ray telling you flat out that you are the best fighter in the world (including himself) after you just went 15 rounds with him in a title bout??

The All-Star Slam Dunk Contest Sucked
I think that a lot of the world-class non-NBA dunkers have succeeded in detracting from the fanfare and legitimacy of recent NBA All-Star Weekend dunk contests. With the proliferation of videos on Youtube and the like, people like myself have gotten spoiled by watching athletes who you wouldn’t have ever heard of in the past perform astonishing feats involving unbridled athleticism.
This year’s NBA Slam Dunk Competition probably seemed subpar because
- it plain and simply was, but also because of
- people like this with massive exposure on the internet:
These guys are 5’9″ and 5’8″ respectively. Nate Robinson can’t fuck with either one of them when it comes to just flat-out performing ludicrous, seemingly impossible dunks. These non-NBA dunkers probably would’ve never achieved anything beyond than legendary local playground status with their talent in past generations before the advent of widespread internet availability. It’s just another example of how internet exposure is radically changing the entertainment landscape and proving what we already know to be true, that there is often better talent out there than what is more heavily and aggressively marketed.
BTW I think Area 51 is Indian, at least he sure looks like it. Ridiculous hops for a Hindu.
That’s T-Dub who stands 5’9″. Let’s do the math on that vertical leap. On a standard 10 foot goal- which I’m sure that this is- it would take a 51″ vertical for the top of his head to be right at rim level, which means that his vertical is at least 56″ as shown in this shot (because at least 5″ of his head is ABOVE the rim). Totally inhuman.
BTW Michael Jordan’s vertical jump in his athletic prime was a “mere” 48″. These professional dunkers best even MJ’s vertical by nearly a foot sometimes.
If you can’t grin at this, you truly are a miserable piece of shit and you need to stop your contemplation about suicide and just put an end your pathetic existence right now.
